Our Commitment

The Wooten Company is fully committed to the principles of equal housing opportunity. We do not discriminate in the rental, leasing, or management of our residential, commercial, or storage properties on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status, national origin, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law. Every applicant and every resident deserves to be treated with dignity, fairness, and respect. That standard has guided us since 1978, and it guides every interaction today.

Your Rights as a Renter

When you apply to live in or lease space at a Wooten-managed property, you have the right to expect: Equal professional service from our leasing and management team Housing options in your price range, made available without discrimination The opportunity to consider a full range of available communities and units Reasonable accommodations in rules, practices, and procedures for individuals with disabilities Non-discriminatory terms and conditions for leasing, renewal, and financing A rental process free from harassment, intimidation, or retaliation for exercising your fair housing rights.

The Laws That Protect You

Several federal laws work together to ensure equal access to housing. The Fair Housing Act prohibits discrimination in the rental, leasing, or advertising of housing based on race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status, or national origin. The Civil Rights Act of 1866 prohibits all racial discrimination in the rental or leasing of property. Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in places of public accommodation and commercial facilities. The Equal Credit Opportunity Act prohibits discrimination in any aspect of a credit or rental application based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, age, or receipt of public assistance. State and local laws may provide additional protections beyond what federal law requires, and The Wooten Company complies fully with all applicable regulations.

Reasonable Accommodations

If you or someone in your household has a disability and needs a reasonable accommodation or modification to fully enjoy your home, please let us know. We work with residents and applicants to make appropriate arrangements in accordance with the Fair Housing Act.
